Happy Birthday to Me

This year is the big 23 for me and a bunch of new firsts! This is my first birthday as a married woman and a military wife and I am loving it. I wanted to do something different for my birthday so I let Brandon know...My amazing hubby stepped right up to the plate and started plannin a perfect little weekend adventure! I had no idea where we were going. Up until the day we left I didn't know that my brother and his fiance got to come too! So I packed up the bags, and Miss Paisley Mae of course..and off we drove into the sunset. All I knew is that we were heading South.

Miss Paisley is the most perfect road tripper! Her Mommy and Daddy could not ask for a better girl, she slept the whole way!

One of our first stops along the way was Cannon Beach, OR...

I could not pass on this sunset that caught the corner of my eye. Of course me and my photo loving self I had to make Brandon pull over for some pictures!

We are arrived at our hotel pretty late into the evening, our final destination: New Port Beach!

This was Paisley Mae's care package that the hotel provided her how cool was that. When I unlocked the door of our hotel room I was greeted to a huge suite with a living room, two flat screen t.v.'s, and a jacuzzi soaking tub(he knows the way to my heart)! We could walk right out our door and to the ocean it was beautiful!

One of the morning sights..I just wanted to stand there and watch forever!

Mommy had to stop for a little photo op, the sun was in her eyes poor girl.

We went to the Aquarium where Keiko the killer whale (Free Willy) used to live!

Next stop was Ripley's believe it or not where I got to squeeze in a photo with Johnny Depp

This plaque explained exactly how I felt this weekend!

We got to stop and watch some smelly friends...then we were on two the next leg of our journey. Brandon planned for all of us to stay in a little cottage. It was so cool it was like a little house and Ky and Davney had their own room and we had our!

Another sweet and priceless touch that made my weekend the best birthday weekend yet!

We enjoyed some nice cool beverages and then hit the sack before another day of fun...

This is probably one of the nastiest smelling places I have EVER been to but the sight it soo cool!

Inside the Sea Lion cave!

We enjoyed some oyster shooters along the way! Thank you honey for introducing these to me! Yes they actually are yummy! We went back to the house and couldn't resist baking some homemade goods!

Our cool little house on the beach... This was out last little tourist stop and we hit it on the way home. It has to be one of my favorite factories because I have an addiction to ALL cheeses!

Yes I can pull some blonde moments, I was later informed that I was holding the bowe wrong!

I just couldn't resist this snap shot!

Thank you Brandon for making my birthday the best one yet! You amaze me everyday with how thoughtful you are. Your spirit for adventure I love more than anything and I am so lucky to get to enjoy the road trip called "life" with my best friend! I love you!

Honeymoon

We took a fabulous and wonderful cruise on the Carnival Conquest. There are so many pictures to share I don't know how to choose, so I will pick the highlights! It was so wonderful to just relax the two of us, without care in the world. Living in Washington state has its downfalls (rain and grey weather ALL THE TIME!). It was nice to catch some rays of sunshine and not worry about being cold when you walk out the door.

Our first stop was Montego Bay, Jamaica. We enjoyed a nice gondola ride up Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios where we got to experience Bobsledding and Ziplining (what a rush by the way, I am so addicted and want to do it again!).

Next Port of Call was Grand Cayman Islands. I have to say this was our favorite stop! So beautiful with lots of little shops. I could totally go for a vacation home here! We had the experience of a lifetime here. My dream came true, we got to swim with dolphins and sting rays!! And to add to the fun we went to a Turtle park where we go to play with turtles of all ages!!

The last stop was Cozumel, Mexico. This has to be my favorite place in Mexico by far! We just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We spent lots of money, shopped our hearts out, had yummy food and drinks, and walked the beach.

My favorite part was not the ports, but the fact that I got to wake up everyday in my husbands arms with the Ocean right outside our window. We had room service EVERY morning and ate breakfast in bed or on our balcony and just talked. I was like a little kid and I couldn't wait to have our bed turned down for the night to see what towel animal our room stewart had left us (the monkey was my favorite!). I loved dressing up for formal nights and seeing the shows and looking to my left and realizing that I am one truly blessed young lady and I wouldn't trade my life for anything!

We came home fat and happy(all you do is eat and drink on a cruise). The memories we created will last a lifetime! There are so many trips ahead of us but this one will always hold a special place in my heart!
