BBQs and Bonfires

Being that it is Spring we are all more than ready to have bonfires and BBQs. The smell of the smoke and the crisp air brings hopeful thoughts that Summer is around the corner. We are all missing the warmth and outdoors a little too much around here! Here are some pictures of the last couple times that we had BBQ's at Ky's house...

I was still freezing my tooshy off!!

This is Whisky, Apen's new girlfriend...they are so cute together!

MONSTER Trucks in the Rain

Brandon and I missed the Monster Truck show this year because our wedding landed on that same weekend. We decided to see a smaller version of the show at the Puyallup fair since it is only minutes away from the house. It was a fun night but man was it cold. Being that we have lived here all our lives we are pretty used to it. But I have to admit I am soooooooo tired of the cold and rain! We made the best of it and had a really good time. Even Sexi Mexi (our best friend Cesar) was able to join in the fun!

We jumped in the car right after work to head down the fair grounds. Brandon decided he needed to get us in the "mood" for some fun. So up went the volume on the radio. Garth Brooks' Friends in Low Places was blaring loud and we were all singing along. It's times like these that I hold dear and I am going to miss so terribly when we do end up moving!

In the middle of singing I decided to pull out the phone camera

I had to sneak in a picture of myself with my hair because I never where it up unless I am chasing kids or working out lol
We had to buy some times so a few pictures were in order...

And what better way to enjoy the time then with an ice cold beer to make you feel even colder! lol

It was a fun night but I do have to say I don't suggest spending the money for this show I would stick to the one at the Tacoma Dome. They didn't do much because of safety and the amount of space they had.

My Baby Brother is NOT a "Baby" Anymore

It's Ky's BIG 21 this year!! We have been counting down the days until we could all go to happy hour together...it honestly amazes me how much time flies. I remember watching cartoons, riding our bikes, and running through Disneyland holding hands like it was yesterday. I am so proud of the man he has become! My brother has always been my best friend and my protector. He was never "little" and always towering way over me. There is a bond we have that is so strong that NOTHING with ever stop us! I am so lucky to have so many amazing memories with him!

For his big day (which happened to be a week night of course). We did happy hour at Katie Downs on the water in Tacoma and then met up with friends at a Mexican Restaurant later. It was fun to enjoy food and drinks for the first time together.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KY!!!!

Aspen's First Parade

We decided to take the opportunity to get Aspen out in a BIG crowd. The Daffodil parade was in downtown Puyallup so we jumped in the car and headed out for some fresh air. He ended up being so good! People and kids surrounded him, at some point I know that he disappeared into the mob of people. Other dogs would come up and sniff at him, some would park their heads off. He just sat so proudly at his Daddy's feet. We were so proud of him!

He even snuck in some kisses for his mama!

This was his most comfortable place to watch the parade. He knew that noone would step on him and that Daddy would protect him from the mean SeaFair Pirates that decided to shoot the cannon right in front of us. He jumped so high into the air, and his heart was racing but he did so well.
He loved watching the little kiddos run around him
It was a fun filled morning and a great first for Mr Aspen. We definitely have a great one on our hands!

Tour Guides in Seattle

One of Brandon's new co-workers just got orders for here in Washington state. Him and his wife are coming from Hawaii..what a drastic change lol...we decided since they have never been here we would take them on a little fun Seattle outting. They have a sweet 20 month old girl, Leianna and she is sooo beautiful and has become my little buddy! First stop was the Pacific Science Center....

My favorite exhibit is the butterfly house!

Look at the precious girl!!

Selena and I in front of the space needle...

I had to steal a few kisses from my love!

One of the sights of "home" that we will definately miss, the Seattle Space Needle!!!

It was time for Leianna to burn off some energy and try and catch some bubbles. It was the perfect time to pull out my camera. Shoot little kiddos I think is my favorite by far!

Thank you for a fun filled day Vincent, Selena, & Leianna. Welcome to Washington state I hope you enjoy the Pacific Northwest!

To the Dark Side

As many of you can tell I have been blonde for as long as I could possibly remember. I don't think I have ever seen any different on myself. I have been getting a little bored lately and so I was ready for some change. I always wanted to know what I would look like with "chocolate" hair. With no major events/funtions/pictures on the horizon I made and hair appointment and took a leap of faith....
I am still adjusting to the color and I am sure it wont last for long but it was fun to do something a little drastic and out of the norm...what do you think?
